Canadian Regulations
The importation, distribution, and use of donor sperm and donor eggs in Canada is regulated by Health Canada.
Health Canada is responsible for developing and enforcing policy and regulations under the Assisted Human Reproduction Act (AHR Act). Regulations under this Act, including the AHR Consent Regulations (2007) and the Safety of Sperm and Ova Regulations (2020), aim to protect and promote the health, safety, dignity, and rights of Canadians who use or are born of AHR technology.
CAN-AM only imports from Health Canada registered suppliers and works closely with these international partners to help ensure donors are screened and processed in compliance with Canadian regulations.
Our facility and our documentation are inspected regularly by Health Canada, and we are proud to report an outstanding record of quality and safety.
